Fort Smith

If the camera was to be found, we would have zoo pictures, but it's difficult to be that lucky all the time.  Our latest adventure was a work one for Randy to look at all the new sewers and manholes going in Fort Smith.  We wondered through this neat cemetery near the hotel before dusk.

The Unknowns are so sad to me.  It was neat seeing all the different crosses and signs at the top of the stones too, the Methodist Cross, and a few others I couldn't recognize.

It will be neat looking these up. The Cross with a heart is a mystery.  Only one we saw didn't have anything at the top.

Randy Googled a few important ones to play seek and find.  He found James McQueen McIntosh on Findagrave.com.  This Civil War Confederate Brigadier General took command of the First Brigade after General McCulloch was killed and held his position for 15 minutes before being shot in the same location.

Today, we woke up and saw the flag at half mass.

This was such a rare occasion it had to be recorded...  I beat Randy in something - Shuffleboard!!
